Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 4.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 6.32% or 54.60 points to trade at 918.60 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 1.89% or 16.50 points to end at 889.50 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) was up 1.35% or 5.70 points to 428.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which lost 1.83% or 16.40 points to trade at 882.20 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 1.47% or 12.00 points to end at 801.60 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) shed 1.18% or 21.50 points to 1,805.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 44 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.42% or 0.32 to $76.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.33% or 0.26 to hit $79.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.65 to trade at $2,467.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was unchanged 0.04% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
