Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 4.63% or 39.30 points to trade at 888.00 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 3.77% or 5.90 points to end at 161.10 and Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) was up 3.41% or 28.00 points to 849.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which lost 1.53% or 165.00 points to trade at 10,600.00 in late trade. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 1.30% or 5.30 points to end at 403.00 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) shed 0.98% or 5.00 points to 506.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 42 and 8 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.60% or 0.44 to $73.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.48% or 0.37 to hit $76.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 16.40 to trade at $2,428.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.23% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 102.75.
