Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 4.30% or 35.60 points to trade at 864.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 3.17% or 5.30 points to end at 172.60 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 0.77% or 80.00 points to 10,440.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which lost 2.01% or 3.40 points to trade at 165.70 in late trade. NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) declined 1.13% or 6.50 points to end at 569.50 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) shed 0.96% or 4.10 points to 423.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.12% or 0.84 to $76.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.69% or 0.54 to hit $78.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 22.00 to trade at $2,454.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.11.
