Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.03% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (COP:GEN), which rose 3.20% or 19.5 points to trade at 629.0 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS) added 2.72% or 8.4 points to end at 317.3 and Nordea Bank AB (COP:NDA) was up 2.64% or 2.25 points to 87.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes B (COP:NZYMb), which added 0.69% or 2.4 points to trade at 348.2 in late trade. Tryg A/S (COP:TRYG) added 0.71% or 1.0 points to end at 142.6 and GN Store Nord (COP:GN) gained 0.78% or 1.1 points to 142.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 123 to 32 and 7 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.23% or 0.12 to $52.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $58.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1155.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 1.21% to 6.7671, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4627.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.88% at 96.80.
