Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 7.55% or 32.4 points to trade at 461.6 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 6.66% or 9.0 points to end at 144.1 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 5.13% or 18.1 points to 370.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which lost 5.95% or 23.2 points to trade at 366.8 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 3.90% or 8.4 points to end at 207.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) shed 3.82% or 11.5 points to 289.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.48% or 0.30 to $61.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.5077, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4598.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.75.
