Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which rose 5.34% or 36.00 points to trade at 710.50 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 2.39% or 2.40 points to end at 101.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was up 1.94% or 29.00 points to 1,524.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which lost 1.96% or 5.20 points to trade at 259.60 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 1.37% or 12.20 points to end at 881.00 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) shed 1.09% or 1.40 points to 127.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 55 and 23 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $69.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 21.60 to trade at $2,652.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.81% to 7.10, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 106.82.
