Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.46% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 4.45% or 18.4 points to trade at 432.0 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.65% or 45.5 points to end at 1293.5 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 2.80% or 8.4 points to 307.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ISS A/S (CO:ISS), which lost 0.55% or 1.20 points to trade at 218.20 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.46% or 1.0 points to end at 214.9 and Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) shed 0.05% or 0.20 points to 414.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 40 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.23% or 0.86 to $70.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.67% or 1.25 to hit $76.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1314.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.21% to 6.2415, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 92.51.
