Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 7.45% or 9.40 points to trade at 135.60 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) added 4.13% or 59.00 points to end at 1,486.50 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 3.98% or 3.80 points to 98.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which lost 1.86% or 15.20 points to trade at 801.00 in late trade. DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) declined 1.09% or 16.50 points to end at 1,500.00 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) shed 1.08% or 7.60 points to 694.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 79 to 55 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.80% or 0.56 to $70.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $74.03 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 7.59 to trade at $2,654.41 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.19% to 7.12, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.86.
