Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 3.19% or 7.7 points to trade at 249.1 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.75% or 9.2 points to end at 343.7 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 1.66% or 190 points to 11620 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 1.02% or 13.0 points to trade at 1262.0 in late trade. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 0.74% or 3.5 points to end at 471.0 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) shed 0.67% or 0.25 points to 37.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 79 to 43 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.20% or 0.10 to $51.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.26% or 0.14 to hit $54.06 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.13% or 13.70 to trade at $1198.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.14% to 7.0053, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4368.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 101.55.
