Proactive Investors - Crossword Cybersecurity PLC (LON:CCSC) has announced that two UK universities have signed up to its Rizikon Assurance platform, which helps firms manage supply chain threats.
AIM-listed Crossword won the two contracts after attending the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) conference last month, the company said on Tuesday.
“The greatest cybersecurity threats to organisations of any size arise from suppliers, third parties and connected technologies,” Crossword explained in a statement.
According to Crossword, 83% of 200 surveyed chief information security officers felt managing risks within their own supply chains was a challenge in 2022.
For educational institutions going through “sustained change,” the need to seek out the best cybersecurity solutions “particularly resonates”, Crossword added.
"At a time when supply chain attacks are being increasingly used to infiltrate educational institutions, we are finding more and more universities and colleges are taking a proactive approach to managing their supply chain risk.
“Being a member of the UCISA network has really helped Crossword to foster close collaboration within the community,” Crossword sales director Sean Arrowsmith said.
