Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 0.55% or 60.0 points to trade at 11000.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 0.51% or 60.0 points to end at 11820.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 0.37% or 100.0 points to 27140.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 3.41% or 50.0 points to trade at 1415.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 3.32% or 620.0 points to end at 18060.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 2.95% or 1140.0 points to 37460.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 7 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 2.18% or 2.90 to $129.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.03% or 30.00 to hit $2933.00 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.52% or 19.40 to trade at $1257.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.95% to 3037.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.06% to 853.69.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 95.22.
