Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.66% or 230.0 points to trade at 8870.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.53% or 35.0 points to end at 1420.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) was up 0.87% or 10.0 points to 1165.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 3.07% or 820.0 points to trade at 25860.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.98% or 740.0 points to end at 24080.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 1.35% or 160.0 points to 11700.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.29% or 0.35 to $121.53 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.52% or 45.00 to hit $2920.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.85 to trade at $1224.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.11% to 3060.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.71% to 851.92.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.39.
