Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 0.77% or 15.0 points to trade at 1975.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 0.76% or 80.0 points to end at 10640.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 0.57% or 0.1 points to 17.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 5.12% or 120.0 points to trade at 2225.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 3.16% or 40.0 points to end at 1225.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 2.47% or 380.0 points to 14980.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 1.35% or 1.64 to $119.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.95% or 56.50 to hit $2846.00 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.52% or 18.60 to trade at $1242.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.94% to 3110.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.24% to 843.73.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.59.
