Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which rose 1.34% or 15.0 points to trade at 1135.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.64% or 120.0 points to end at 18940.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was up 0.53% or 60.0 points to 11400.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 4.16% or 1120.0 points to trade at 25800.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 3.13% or 270.0 points to end at 8360.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 3.04% or 920.0 points to 29380.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 10 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.64% or 0.90 to $141.52 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.13% or 2.50 to hit $1909.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.85 to trade at $1209.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.37% to 2994.10, while BRL/COP fell 0.18% to 945.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.10.
