Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as in the sectors propelled shares .

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 4.44% or 115.0 points to trade at 2705.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 2.35% or 11.0 points to end at 480.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.33% or 280.0 points to 21280.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.38% or 40.0 points to trade at 2860.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 1.24% or 220.0 points to end at 17560.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.71% or 480.0 points to 67520.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.16% or 1.40 to $122.28 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.85% or 16.50 to hit $1951.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.63% or 21.80 to trade at $1358.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.33% to 2817.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.50% to 895.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.93% at 89.04.
