Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 0.90% or 90.0 points to trade at 10040.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 0.39% or 60.0 points to end at 15400.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.36% or 5.0 points to 1375.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 2.17% or 720.0 points to trade at 32480.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 1.98% or 680.0 points to end at 33620.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 1.37% or 560.0 points to 40400.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.10% or 1.48 to $136.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.40% or 47.00 to hit $2006.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.83 to trade at $1303.77 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.31% to 2891.57, while BRL/COP fell 0.11% to 924.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.68% at 92.24.
