Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 6.25% or 2120.0 points to trade at 36020.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 6.04% or 2100.0 points to end at 36840.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 5.22% or 1760.0 points to 35480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 12.75% or 350.0 points to trade at 2395.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 10.31% or 920.0 points to end at 8000.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 5.63% or 175.0 points to 2935.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 12 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 4.43% or 4.83 to $113.80 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.02% or 0.50 to hit $2480.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1255.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.24% to 2870.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.45% to 742.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 93.75.
