Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 5.35% or 155.0 points to trade at 3050.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 3.19% or 40.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 2.78% or 35.0 points to 1295.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which lost 2.45% or 500.0 points to trade at 19900.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 1.86% or 90.0 points to end at 4760.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 1.57% or 280.0 points to 17560.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.19% or 0.23 to $122.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 2.85% or 58.50 to hit $2108.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.01% or 26.70 to trade at $1357.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.03% to 2874.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.38% to 893.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 88.97.
