Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 5.00 points to trade at 95.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 5.26% or 400.00 points to end at 8,000.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) was up 2.42% or 800.00 points to 33,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB), which lost 1.95% or 50.00 points to trade at 2,510.00 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) declined 1.92% or 1,000.00 points to end at 51,000.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) shed 1.34% or 30.00 points to 2,210.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.75% or 4.28 to $249.13 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.71% or 233.00 to hit $8,357.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 5.80 to trade at $2,416.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.18% to 3,928.33, while BRL/COP fell 1.00% to 723.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.77.
