Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Public Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS), which rose 0.86% or 320.0 points to trade at 37360.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 0.68% or 20.0 points to end at 2960.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.63% or 120.0 points to 19200.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.26% or 30.0 points to trade at 2350.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 1.13% or 90.0 points to end at 7900.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.84% or 10.0 points to 1175.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.18% or 1.30 to $109.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.35% or 8.50 to hit $2407.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.90 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2871.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.45% to 746.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 94.72.
