Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 5.00 points to trade at 95.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 5.26% or 400.00 points to end at 8,000.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 1.94% or 65.00 points to 3,410.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV), which lost 1.86% or 260.00 points to trade at 13,720.00 in late trade. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p) declined 1.59% or 380.00 points to end at 23,520.00 and Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) shed 1.27% or 55.00 points to 4,265.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.76% or 1.85 to $244.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 8.11% or 697.00 to hit $7,898.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.84% or 44.70 to trade at $2,473.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.10% to 3,977.11, while BRL/COP rose 1.45% to 733.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 103.93.
