Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.01% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which rose 2.20% or 580.0 points to trade at 27000.0 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) added 1.76% or 240.0 points to end at 13900.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 1.38% or 220.0 points to 16140.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 2.08% or 60.0 points to trade at 2820.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.05% or 4.0 points to end at 376.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 0.60% or 220.0 points to 36280.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.12% or 0.14 to $117.17 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.80% or 20.00 to hit $2488.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1267.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.73% to 2937.82, while BRL/COP rose 0.95% to 777.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.95.
