Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 5.13% or 60.0 points to trade at 1230.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 4.70% or 420.0 points to end at 9360.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 3.60% or 980.0 points to 28240.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.27% or 0.4 points to trade at 17.2 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 1.61% or 300.0 points to end at 18280.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.86% or 20.0 points to 2315.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.25% or 0.39 to $153.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.52% or 43.50 to hit $2820.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.65 to trade at $1326.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.80% to 2912.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.15% to 903.79.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.34.
