Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 10.48% or 260.0 points to trade at 2740.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 1.05% or 400.0 points to end at 38600.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.03% or 15.0 points to 1465.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 0.88% or 35.0 points to trade at 3950.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 0.36% or 40.0 points to end at 11000.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 0.31% or 80.0 points to 25900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.17% or 4.40 to $134.50 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.27% or 8.50 to hit $3121.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.73% or 9.25 to trade at $1271.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.80% to 2941.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.83% to 865.74.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 94.07.
