Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.59% or 200.0 points to trade at 12760.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 1.35% or 840.0 points to end at 63000.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.04% or 50.0 points to 4850.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.16% or 210.0 points to trade at 6440.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.96% or 70.0 points to end at 3505.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 1.19% or 20.0 points to 1665.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 12 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 1.14% or 1.55 to $137.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.98% or 30.00 to hit $3094.00 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1220.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.23% to 2385.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.77% to 796.78.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 93.40.
