Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 2.22% or 260.0 points to trade at 11980.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 0.47% or 180.0 points to end at 38780.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 0.41% or 5.0 points to 1220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 2.06% or 240.0 points to trade at 11400.0 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 1.02% or 20.0 points to end at 1940.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 0.69% or 60.0 points to 8620.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.12% or 1.45 to $127.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.44% or 9.00 to hit $2030.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.27 to trade at $1266.73 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.77% to 2895.26, while BRL/COP fell 1.34% to 892.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.15.
