Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.49% or 210.0 points to trade at 8640.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.50% or 220.0 points to end at 14860.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) was up 1.22% or 12.0 points to 996.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.04% or 0.5 points to trade at 24.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 0.99% or 120.0 points to end at 12060.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.84% or 10.0 points to 1180.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.47% or 1.95 to $130.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 11.00 to hit $1867.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1270.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.93% to 2929.03, while BRL/COP rose 0.09% to 922.97.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.81.
