Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which rose 2.33% or 740.0 points to trade at 32460.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 1.49% or 500.0 points to end at 33980.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.37% or 220.0 points to 16240.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.67% or 250.0 points to trade at 9130.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 2.00% or 90.0 points to end at 4410.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 0.88% or 10.0 points to 1125.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.43% or 1.40 to $99.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 2.05% or 44.50 to hit $2124.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 11.80 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.24% to 2992.15, while BRL/COP rose 0.45% to 748.71.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.75% at 94.58.
