Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.67% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 5.12% or 900.0 points to trade at 18480.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 2.02% or 260.0 points to end at 13140.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.00% or 150.0 points to 7650.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 3.05% or 11.0 points to trade at 350.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.37% or 6.0 points to end at 247.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.13% or 20.0 points to 1750.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.51% or 2.60 to $106.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.80% or 18.00 to hit $2263.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.95 to trade at $1279.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.63% to 3171.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.17% to 840.41.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 96.280.
