Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA), which rose 3.42% or 480.0 points to trade at 14500.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 1.29% or 460.0 points to end at 36200.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.24% or 15.0 points to 1220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 3.26% or 580.0 points to trade at 17220.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 1.65% or 20.0 points to end at 1190.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 1.04% or 4.0 points to 380.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 5 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.33 to $112.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.08% or 52.00 to hit $2451.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1258.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.03% to 2906.82, while BRL/COP fell 0.42% to 742.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.19.
