Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 2.16% or 220.0 points to trade at 10400.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 1.16% or 240.0 points to end at 21000.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.03% or 120.0 points to 11800.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.78% or 0.7 points to trade at 24.5 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.17% or 6.0 points to end at 509.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.85% or 580.0 points to 68000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.23% or 2.95 to $129.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.41% or 47.50 to hit $2020.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 16.56 to trade at $1285.14 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 2937.20, while BRL/COP fell 0.36% to 920.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 93.22.
