Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 1.15% or 180.0 points to trade at 15800.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.03% or 120.0 points to end at 11820.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.77% or 160.0 points to 21000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 0.75% or 10.0 points to trade at 1320.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.50% or 50.0 points to end at 9900.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 0.41% or 0.1 points to 24.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.52% or 1.91 to $127.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.43% or 9.00 to hit $2086.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.55 to trade at $1271.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.61% to 2926.65, while BRL/COP fell 1.06% to 929.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.81.
