Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.16% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.87% or 45.0 points to trade at 2455.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 1.28% or 160.0 points to end at 12660.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.15% or 220.0 points to 19300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.42% or 140.0 points to trade at 9720.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.06% or 15.0 points to end at 1395.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.85% or 10.0 points to 1165.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 3.36% or 5.12 to $147.45 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.80% or 88.00 to hit $3059.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1331.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.21% to 2923.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.25% to 894.76.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 96.60.
