Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.08% or 300.0 points to trade at 28100.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.01% or 260.0 points to end at 25960.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 0.81% or 240.0 points to 29700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.22% or 15.0 points to trade at 1215.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.12% or 15.0 points to end at 1325.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 0.86% or 100.0 points to 11500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.00% or 1.53 to $150.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 7.50 to hit $2675.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.75 to trade at $1254.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 2922.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.70% to 913.55.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.76% at 97.65.
