ZURICH (Reuters) - Clariant expects prices for raw materials and energy to ease in the coming months, Chief Executive Conrad Keijzer said on Thursday.
"In raw materials we see a sequential decline in raw material costs," he told reporters after the specialty chemicals company reported its third-quarter results. "We expect the peak inflation is behind us."
"Unless there are shortages, which for sure would mean energy costs do spike, we believe there will also be sequential declines in energy costs in Europe. They will remain at a very elevated level to the rest of the world, but from the current levels of 100 euros per megawatt hour we should see some further declines."
