Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Land & Property and Trading sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which rose 20.07% or 526.50 points to trade at 3150.00 at the close. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) added 19.44% or 350.00 points to end at 2150.00 and Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP) was up 11.43% or 0.40 points to 3.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which lost 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 in late trade. Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL) declined 23.03% or 524.00 points to end at 1751.00 and Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) shed 12.82% or 353.00 points to 2400.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 123 to 107 and 19 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.58% or 1.21 to $45.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.46% or 0.71 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.70 to trade at $1129.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.68% to 220.265, while USD/LKR rose 0.81% to 142.000.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 96.18.
