Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.67% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 1.92% or 0.61 points to trade at 32.35 at the close. UCB SA (EBR:UCB) added 1.04% or 1.35 points to end at 131.40 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) was up 1.01% or 0.93 points to 93.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB), which lost 3.47% or 2.05 points to trade at 57.00 in late trade. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) declined 3.36% or 2.22 points to end at 63.90 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) shed 2.68% or 0.70 points to 25.46.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 22 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.85 to $2,328.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.44 to hit $78.18 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.54 to trade at $82.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 104.96.
