(Reuters) - Europe's largest copper producer Aurubis revised down its core profit for last year's second quarter on Wednesday to take fraud and theft that targeted the group into account.
Aurubis' operating result (earnings before taxes) was minus 52 million euros (minus $55.87 million) for that quarter, CEO Roland Harings said on an earnings call.
Aurubis had originally reported a result of positive 166 million euros for the quarter that ended March 2023.
