On Monday, November 6th, the U.S. stock markets closed in Green as investors awaited Federal Reserve policy updates and prepared for new bond offerings.

The Dow and S&P 500 extend their winning streak to six days, while the Nasdaq gains for the seventh consecutive session.

The majority of the S&P 500 sectors ended the day down, with the steepest declines seen in real estate and energy. Conversely, information technology and healthcare sectors defied the downtrend, ending higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.10% to 34,095.86, the S&P 500 increased by 0.18% to 4,365.98, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.30%, ending the session at 13,518.78.

Asian Markets Today

  • Japan's Nikkei 225 ended Tuesday's session lower by 1.37% at 32,271.82, led by losses in the Fishery, Banking, and Marine Transport sectors.
  • Australia's S&P/ASX 200 slid 0.29%, closing the session at 6,977.10, led by losses in the Financials, Energy, and A-REITs sectors.
  • China's Shanghai Composite declined 0.04% to close the session at 3,057.27, and the Shenzhen CSI 300 was down 0.35%, closing at 3,619.76.
  • Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slipped 1.70% and closed at 17,660.00.
  • Asian stocks fell after trade data signaled economic troubles for China, alongside a rate hike by Australia's central bank amid stubborn inflation.
Eurozone at 08:15 AM ET

  • The European STOXX 600 index was down 0.38%.
  • Germany's DAX declined 0.18%.
  • France's CAC slid 0.53%.
  • The U.K.'s FTSE 100 traded higher by 0.03%.
Commodities at 08:15 AM ET

  • Crude Oil WTI was trading lower by 1.73% at $79.42/bbl, and Brent was down by 1.87% at $83.59/bbl.
  • Natural Gas declined 1.07% to $3.229.
  • Gold was trading lower by 1.17% at $1965.35. Silver slipped 2.69% to $22.610, and Copper fell 1.46 %to $3.6647.
US Futures at 08:15 AM ET

Dow futures were down 0.24%, S&P 500 futures declined 0.22%, while Nasdaq 100 Futures slid 0.05%.

Forex at 08:15 AM ET

The U.S. Dollar Index was up 0.39% to 105.63. USD/JPY was up 0.22% to 150.41, and AUD/USD rose 1.15% to 1.5587.
