Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 3.53% or 530 points to trade at 15540 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) added 2.53% or 1.9 points to end at 76.9 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 2.52% or 600 points to 24420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which added 0.09% or 60 points to trade at 68900 in late trade. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 0.20% or 60 points to end at 29520 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) gained 0.21% or 30 points to 14300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 217 to 117 and 119 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.30% or 1.19 to $52.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.02% or 1.73 to hit $58.77 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1162.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.7872, while EUR/ILS fell 0.40% to 4.1825.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.61.
