Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 1.87% or 0.60 points to trade at 32.70 at the close. Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) added 1.65% or 0.082 points to end at 5.040 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was up 1.44% or 0.26 points to 18.27 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A2A (MI:A2), which lost 1.68% or 0.025 points to trade at 1.459 in late trade. Enel (MI:ENEI) declined 1.37% or 0.070 points to end at 5.040 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) shed 1.08% or 0.31 points to 28.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 173 and 24 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.61% or 0.84 to $51.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.44% or 0.83 to hit $56.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1289.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1781, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.03.
