Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in Asian trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD53.88 a barrel at time of writing rising 1.14%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD54.84 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD52.44 and resistance at USD55.74.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.29% to trade at USD90.91.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for February delivery rose 0.39% to trade at USD57.79 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.91 a barrel.
