Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.34% or 0.260 points to trade at 11.380 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 0.73% or 0.18 points to end at 24.71 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.62% or 0.35 points to 56.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.91% or 0.175 points to trade at 5.845 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.78% or 0.53 points to end at 29.18 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 1.36% or 0.1050 points to 7.6100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 65 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.08% or 1.50 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.36% or 1.54 to hit $47.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.56 to trade at $1221.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.0874, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 99.43.
