Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Telecoms and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 19.77% or 0.350 points to trade at 2.120 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 19.51% or 0.320 points to end at 1.960 and Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO) was up 6.84% or 0.160 points to 2.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which lost 4.17% or 0.320 points to trade at 7.360 in late trade. Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) declined 3.92% or 0.32 points to end at 7.84 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) shed 3.45% or 1.24 points to 34.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 179 to 154 and 73 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.72% or 9.05 to $1260.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.97% or 1.48 to hit $51.29 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.45% or 1.27 to trade at $53.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.54% to 3.0662, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 3.4213.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 96.78.
