Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Sports, Wood, Paper & Printing and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 19.79% or 0.190 points to trade at 1.150 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 19.19% or 0.190 points to end at 1.180 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 13.24% or 1.70 points to 14.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which lost 2.89% or 0.22 points to trade at 7.39 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.07% or 0.030 points to end at 1.420 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) shed 1.83% or 0.13 points to 6.98.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 259 to 81 and 63 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.34% or 4.55 to $1325.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.97 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.30 to trade at $49.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 2.9375, while EUR/TRY fell 0.44% to 3.3135.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.78.
