AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC) shares rose more than 1% after-hours following the company’s announcement that as of October 4, TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film had sold more than $100 million in advance tickets globally.
Starting from October 13, the concert film will be screened in a majority of the confirmed 8,500 theaters spanning across 100 countries worldwide.
The demand from the audience for the film has been remarkable since its initial announcement. Within less than 24 hours, the film set a new record for AMC in the United States by generating the highest ticket sales revenue in a single day throughout the 103-year history of the company.
