LONDON (Reuters) - Britain would recognise rail operator licences issued by another European Union company for two years if it leaves the bloc without a deal on the terms of departure, the government said in a technical notice on Friday.
After the two years, the operators would have to apply to Britain's Office of Rail and Road for documentation, which the paper said would have minimal impact on businesses.
Britain also said it was seeking mutual recognition of relevant documentation so that operators from the UK and the EU could continue to operate cross-border services, such as the Eurostar across the Channel Tunnel, without disruption after a no-deal Brexit.
