Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Holdings & Investments and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) added 3.90% or 0.23 points to end at 6.13 and Erbosan (IS:ERBOS) was up 3.84% or 1.20 points to 32.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which lost 3.23% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.500 in late trade. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.04% or 0.60 points to end at 19.15 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) shed 1.93% or 0.40 points to 20.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 219 to 180 and 11 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.25% or 2.80 to $1124.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.13 to hit $45.92 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.66% or 1.75 to trade at $49.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.73% to 3.0085, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 3.3628.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.01.
