Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 5.51% or 6.90 points to trade at 132.20 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.94% or 0.87 points to end at 30.43 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.99% or 3.00 points to 153.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 0.81% or 0.70 points to trade at 85.35 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.78% or 0.65 points to end at 82.85 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 0.74% or 1.8 points to 240.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 288 to 265 and 14 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.35% or 0.55 to $40.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.29% or 0.12 to hit $43.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.30 to trade at $1067.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.14% to 9.3038, while USD/SEK fell 0.03% to 8.7523.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 99.87.
