On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD101.02 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.58%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD101.43 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD99.08 and resistance at USD101.62.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.30% to trade at USD80.09.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery rose 0.53% to trade at USD106.38 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.36 a barrel.
